2025 One in 26 Challenge<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did you know that one in 26 people will develop epilepsy in their lifetime? It\u2019s a powerful statistic that highlights how common this condition is. Despite its prevalence, epilepsy remains misunderstood, and harmful social stigmas persist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every October, EPI hosts the One in 26 Challenge<\/strong> to raise awareness and support for those impacted by epilepsy. The 5K run and walks are not just about fundraising\u2014it\u2019s about coming together as a community to show solidarity, spread knowledge, and break down barriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With events in both Syracuse and Rochester, it’s easy to join us this year to make a difference, celebrate resilience, and walk for a future free from stigma. Together, we can create a brighter tomorrow for the epilepsy community!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8:00 am: Check-in and onsite registration.
9:00 am: One Mile Group Walk and 5K in Syracuse only.
10:00 am: Syracuse 5k Awards
10:00 am: In Rochester, enjoy a FREE <\/strong>ticket to the Seneca Park Zoo<\/a><\/strong> after the walk. At both locations, take photos an post on social media using #Onein26EPI<\/strong>.
11:00 am: Events conclude<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteers help with set-up, check-in, onsite registration, t-shirt distribution and clean up. Volunteers will receive an EPI t-shirt and an event t-shirt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
